ABOUT ME:
Music is my medicine. I began studying the cello at 9 years-old, and by age 10 completed my first composition--a waltz for string ensemble. Among my influential instructors, I studied under Jennifer Kloetzel, cellist of the celebrated Cypress String Quartet. Ensemble playing remained a fervent interest, and over the following years I studied and performed chamber music on the West Coast and in France. Recently, an interest in both classical and contemporary collaboration has given me the opportunity to premier and perform several new works at Sonoma State University and elsewhere. I've been lucky enough to appear in the U.S., Canada, and Europe with artists including the popular San Francisco-based indie rock band Built for the Sea, spoken word poet Ise Lyfe, and singer Benjamin Winter.
